SGTP’s EdCon’10 focus on “Trends Affecting the Government Travel Landscape" A Probable Future? Trends are our knowledge about the probable future. They are the forces that define our present and future worlds, and interaction between them are as important as each individual trend.
Consider your current environment and how the affect of previous trends set the stage for where you are today. Most importantly you want to insure current revenues, but what about the effect of trends that are molding your future. How will they affect you in the near to long term?
During SGTP we will explore the recent history such as Google's purchase of ITA Software and what that means to you - more importantly why you should care and stay abreast of these developments. EdCon'10 will explore sustainability. The topic that grows closer to reality with Obama's Executive Order, the Gulf Crisis, and new investments being made in new energy sources - you will need to be in the know.
Issues to be addressed:
- Customization, mobile, the cloud, splinternet, location, deep web, social, traveler personas, real-time and privacy are ten items that will dictate engagement, relevance and profitability in the coming years.
- Per Diems 2011
- Challenges of Air Travel, Data, Key to New Revenue,
- Sustainability and the Executive Order.
